What is Kind Minds?

Kind Minds is a whole-school mindfulness and mental wellbeing curriculum for primary schools (ages 2-11). Created by experienced primary teachers, it gives your school everything you need to build calm classrooms and happy minds, without adding to staff workload.

A whole-school mindfulness and mental wellbeing curriculum

Benefits for Your School

Improved mental wellbeing and behaviour

Our curriculum is proven to help children build empathy, self-regulation, and emotional resilience — supporting more respectful learning environments and fewer escalations requiring additional support.

A sustainable whole-school wellbeing approach

Through a shared language for mental wellbeing, pupils and staff learn simple mindfulness strategies that become part of daily school culture. Wellbeing is taught consistently in every classroom, using a progressive lesson series.

Proven impact for mental health

Track progress through pupil voice, Kind Minds wellbeing surveys and outcome measures that help demonstrate the positive impact of your wellbeing provision across the school.

Easy to implement, grounded in research

A flexible, 'ready-to-teach' curriculum (ages 2-11) designed to fit into the busy school day, from 5 minutes to a full lesson. Created by experienced primary teachers, for teachers.

Our Curriculum Structure

Kind Minds includes 4 key pillars of learning content which increase in complexity as the children progress through their primary years.

Concentrate

Children develop the ability to train and direct their attention using creative and sensory mindfulness activities.

Calm

Children learn self-regulation tools including mindful breathing. They explore the interconnection between their brains, minds and emotions.

Connect

Children learn how to be a kind friend to themselves and others (self-kindness & self-care) so that they acquire lifelong tools to manage their mental wellbeing.

Create

Children express themselves through creative mindfulness activities and learn to apply the mindfulness tools they have learnt into their everyday lives.

How is the curriculum delivered?

For Children

Engaging and interactive lessons that are ready-to-teach via the online portal (1x weekly lesson, ages 2-11). We use mindfulness concepts to teach different curriculum aligned wellbeing topics e.g. brain awareness, emotional literacy, self-care and empathy.

For Teachers

Optional, bitesized professional development to help staff feel confident teaching our curriculum. We provide a self-led 6-week course to support educators to take care of their mental wellbeing by developing their own mindfulness practice.

For Parents/Carers

Termly resource packs and workshop slides to enable a consistent partnership between home and school. We empower parents/carers to nurture their child's wellbeing at home using the Kind Minds techniques.

Loved by our schools

Kind Minds is the best wellbeing curriculum I have come across. I have a simple structure to follow and we finally have emotional literacy resources, lessons and guidance that goes above and beyond the provisions within the national curriculum. Highly recommend to all school senior management teams.

The Olive Primary School

Pastoral Lead

During our Ofsted visit (graded Outstanding) I was able to talk about Kind Minds and how successful this was, impacting on children’s wellbeing, positive behaviour and ultimately, learning outcomes. I feel that every school should have the Kind Minds Curriculum to support their children’s wellbeing and emotions.

Zouch Academy, Wiltshire

The Principal

Adopting a whole-school approach to mindfulness through the Kindness Curriculum has been a game-changer. Evidence from pupil voice clearly shows that children across our three-form entry primary school feel more equipped to manage their emotions, and we’ve seen a noticeable improvement in behaviour and emotional regulation in every classroom.
